    This natto egg toast is a quick and tasty breakfast that is great for your gut health. If you are looking for how to eat natto, try this recipe!

    Natto Egg Toast

    We love natto!

    Natto is a super healthy food made from fermented soybeans and we eat it almost every day.

    The traditional way to eat it is natto gohan (rice) but it's pretty versatile and goes well with bread as well.

    How to make it is so simple, just put mashed boiled egg and natto on a slice of bread and toast it.

    • White bread
    • Natto (Use the attached sauce)
    • Egg
    • Parsley
    • Mayonnaise
    • Salt and pepper

    You can use any type of bread you like. French baguette works well too.

    How to make Natto Egg Toast
    1. Chop parsley: Finely chop the parsley.
    2. Make hard-boiled eggs: Put eggs and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes, drain the water and add cold water and ice.
    3. Mix natto: Add the natto sauce and mix natto.
    4. Season eggs: Peel the eggs, mash them in a bowl, and season with salt and pepper, mayonnaise, and parsley.
    5. Combine ingredients: Spread boiled eggs and natto on bread and add some mayonnaise.
    6. Toast the bread: Bake in a toaster oven (I use a fish grill) until it turns brown (about 5-7 minutes).

    Serve cherry tomatoes or salad on the side, and enjoy this delicious natto toast!

    • 1 Natto(50g/1.8oz) (use the attached natto sauce)
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 Tbsp Parsley
    • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Notes

    • If your natto doesn't come with sauce, you can use soy sauce, or make it on your own by mixing soy sauce, dashi and sugar.
    • You can use any type of bread you like.
