This Natto Egg Toast is a quick and tasty breakfast that is great for your gut health. If you are looking for how to eat natto, try this recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices White bread
  • 1 Natto, 50g/1.8oz (use the attached natto sauce)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Parsley
  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Chop parsley: Finely chop the parsley.
  • Make hard-boiled eggs: Put eggs and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes, drain the water and add cold water and ice.
  • Mix natto: Add the natto sauce and mix natto
  • Season eggs: Peel the eggs, mash them in a bowl, and season with salt and pepper, mayonnaise, and parsley.
  • Combine ingredients: Spread boiled eggs and natto on bread and add some mayonnaise.
  • Toast: Toast the bread in an oven (I use a fish grill) until brown for 5-7 minutes.

  • If your natto doesn’t come with sauce, you can use soy sauce, or make it on your own by mixing soy sauce, dashi and sugar.
  • You can use any type of bread you like.
