Rice Flour

Rice flour, made by grinding rice into a fine powder, is naturally gluten-free and a great alternative to wheat flour. While there are various types of rice flour depending on the manufacturing process and raw materials, it is generally divided into two main categories based on the type of rice used: glutinous rice (mochi rice) and non-glutinous rice (regular rice). Non-glutinous rice flour is commonly used in baked goods and bread, while glutinous rice flour is traditionally used to create chewy treats like dango and daifuku.

  1. Hello, your recipes look fab and giving me so much inspo for how to use rice in a more creative way! Do you think these could be made in the air fryer? If yes, could you advise rough temp+time?

    thank you 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re finding inspiration here! 😊
Yes, you can try making them in the air fryer. I’d suggest around 180°C (350°F) for 7–10 minutes. Keep an eye on them and adjust as needed. Hope you enjoy it!
