Miso ramen served in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 package instant ramen, including the noodles and seasoning packet
  • Water, according to the package directions
  • Vegetables of your choice, such as spinach, carrot, and bean sprouts
  • 1 tsp dried wakame
  • 1 boiled egg, halved
  • A small amount of grated garlic
  • ½ tsp toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Rehydrate the dried wakame in water according to the package directions, then drain well.
  2. Cook the noodles: Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Add the vegetables and noodles, then cook according to the package directions, usually for 3–4 minutes.
  3. Season the soup: Start by adding about one-third of the seasoning packet. Add the grated garlic and sesame oil, then stir well. Taste and gradually add more seasoning if needed.
  4. Serve: Transfer the ramen and vegetables to a serving bowl. Top with the boiled egg and rehydrated wakame, and serve immediately.
