Let's make the best use of seasonal asparagus by Simple Sauteed Garlic Asparagus. It's an easy recipe that is fragrant with garlic and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Sauteed garlic asparagus

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Asparagus
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Pinch of Salt and Pepper

Instructions
 

  1. Slice garlic: Remove the skin of garlic and cut off the bottom and slice it.
  2. Cut asparagus: Cut off the bottom part(about 0.5 cm) and cut it in half.
  3. Cook sliced garlic: Heat a frying pan over low heat, put olive oil and garlic.
  4. Saute asparagus: Once you smell the garlic, add asparagus and saute.
  5. Cover and cook: Cover and cook for 3 to 6 minutes on low heat.
  6. Season: Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • Equipment: Frying pan 22 cm/9 inches
  • If you are using a large frying pan, there is no need to cut it in half.
  • How long to cook asparagus is according to the size of your asparagus. If asparagus is thick, then cook for 6 minutes. If thin, then 3 minutes would be enough.
  • If you don't like hard skin, please peel it off with a peeler before cooking.
  • We saute them on low heat, so there is no need to boil them beforehand.
