This homemade fish burger is a big hit with my family! Crispy fish, fresh vegetables, and a creamy egg mayo sauce make it so satisfying. If you love fish, this is a must-try!
Fish burger served on a plate.

Ingredients

  • 4 burger buns
  • head cabbage
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • ½ carrot
For the fried fish
  • 4 fish fillets of your choice, Aji, cod, pollock, salmon, or any firm fish works well.
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • all-purpose flour, as needed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • panko breadcrumbs, as needed
  • vegetable oil, for pan-frying
For the egg mayo sauce
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 4 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Shred the lettuce, cabbage, and carrot.
  2. Coat the fish: Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper. Coat each fillet with flour, dip into the beaten eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Pan-fry the fish: Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Pan-fry the fish until golden and crispy on both sides. Make sure the fish is fully cooked through.
  4. Make the egg mayo sauce: Mash the boiled eggs with a fork, then mix with mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Toast the buns: Lightly toast the burger buns until warm and slightly crisp.
  6. Assemble the burgers: Spread a little mayonnaise on the burger buns, add the shredded vegetables, crispy fish, and plenty of sauce. Top with the other half of the bun and serve. Enjoy!
